Thoughts on Responsibility

We are all responsible for the decisions that we make. No one forces us to make the decisions that we make. Powerful organizations are forcing us to make difficult choices, but our decisions belong to us. We cannot fall into the illusion that we do not have choices. While discussing this with one of my brothers he said, if someone puts a plate of bad food in front of us and a plate of really bad food, we would have to choose the bad food. I answered him, we could push both plates away from us. We often choose to keep our bodies over the energy that animates our bodies. We lie to ourselves and say that if we do not take care of our bodies we cannot protect our souls. Soul living is enough to maintain itself. We are also responsible for the land that we find ourselves on, either by birth or migration. This includes water, vegetation, air, and soil. You may think that all of these responsibilities are too much to handle, especially when so much has been destroyed. If we stopped our routines and lived within a natural flow we would repair the damage done as well as maintain the world properly from this moment forward. Our existence and transcendence depends on how responsible we are.
