GEORGE ORWELL SPEAKS TO ME

George Orwell speaks to me. We talk about the inner workings of a police state. Most of us know that we are living in a police state, but we think that the solution to this is to ask the authorities to police in a different way. I say that we should police ourselves in an organized way. I also think that we should decide our own crimes and punishments. Orwell and I talk about how awful tyranny of any kind is. We also discuss the writer’s quest for authentic artistry. The writer has to fight against life styles if we wants to maintain a realistic view of the society in which we live in. Any artist that settles for middle class is shackling their mastery of what they do. The artist with these shackles cannot express freely their vision of the elite's power to divide a society into classes and how every class above feed off of the lower classes in their state of suffering.
