Keep The Medication Coming

I have had the conversation many times where we try to figure out why people in the United States are not protesting more. We had some protests here and there, but nothing as large as in other countries. The system is battering us every day and people seem to shuffle along. I thought more on this situation and the answer was right in front of my face. The masses of the people are medicated. Medication takes up a large portion of the lives of citizens. They have to spend energy on whether they can afford their medication and will be able to afford their medication in the future. People also have to figure out how they are going to get their medication in their hands. The pharmacy may be far from their homes. We also have people who self medicate with alcohol and illegal narcotics. If you drink a glass of wine twice a day every day, you are self medicating. If you have to smoke a blunt every day just to make it through the day, you are self medicating.
